Las Etapas de Taylor Swift: Por qué las Llama ‘Eras’ y su Significado Profundo

Taylor Swift has four concerts scheduled in Mexico this week, marking her first performance in the country and generating great anticipation among her Mexican fans, known as “Swifties”.

The tour, called “The Eras Tour,” began on March 17 in Glendale, USA, and is scheduled to end on November 23, 2024, in Toronto, Canada. This tour includes Latin American countries for the first time, including Mexico.

The name “The Eras Tour” hints at its purpose, as Swift plans to pay tribute to each stage of her career. This is because she was unable to perform concerts for three consecutive years due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

This tour is more than just a series of stadium concerts. For Swifties, it’s a complete experience involving special costumes, gestures, and rituals performed during the shows. Each event lasts approximately three hours, during which Swift performs a total of 45 songs.

Each of the 10 albums Swift has released throughout her career represents an era in her journey. Therefore, the concert is divided into 10 acts, each dedicated to one of these eras. Swift awarded $100,000 bonuses as a token of appreciation to the transport companies involved in the production and logistics of the tour.

During the concert, Swift performs five to six songs from each era, beginning with “Lover,” followed by “Fearless,” “Evermore,” “Reputation,” “Speak Now,” “Red,” “Folklore,” “1989,” and “Midnights.” There’s also a special segment where fans can expect a musical surprise, which Swift performs on the piano or guitar.

“The Eras Tour” will arrive at the Foro Sol in Mexico City on August 24, 25, 26 and 27, to the delight of Mexican “swifties”.

The excitement surrounding Taylor Swift has also been reflected in Google searches in Mexico. In the last 12 months, searches related to Taylor Swift have increased by 130%, according to data shared by Google Mexico. The states of Nuevo León, Yucatán, and Baja California Sur have seen the highest number of searches for her on the platform.

Furthermore, on YouTube, Taylor Swift’s most popular songs since 2008 are “Me!”, “I Knew You Were Trouble,” and “Shake It Off.” Her presence on the video platform has also contributed to her growing popularity in Mexico.
